Not able to be a Naval Aviator because I was nearsighted, I instead became an aeronautical engineer and general aviation pilot. Now retired, I write books and monographs on U.S. Navy aircraft.

I pre-ordered my copy from Amazon UK a few months ago and it seems that the first few copies of this book have been readied to go to the press after having been proof-read by you.
The last I heard a few weeks ago, the book was at the printers. I don't know whether a few go to the press before preorders are shipped but I doubt it. Al and I proof read several successive pdfs before we were finally satisfied a month ago that we had made all the corrections and improvements that we could find.
Tommy, I just got my copy in today’s (18 Oct ) mail. I obviously haven’t read it yet, but I have to say, BRAVO ZULU! It is undoubtedly the definitive account of the F7U-3 variants. The work you and Al have done to assemble this voluminous (!!) book is incredible. I look forward to spending many hours reading it and admiring the extensive never-before-seen photos you’ve incorporated. This is a book on par with KC-135 Stratotanker: More Than a Tanker, by Robert Hopkins III, and that’s a huge compliment.
